Sound on
Keep the track as a clean MP3 for offline listening and editing.
You get the complete mixed track exactly as it plays in the post — music, voiceover, ambient sound and effects together. Instagram publishes one mixed audio stream, not separate layers, so isolating just the music or just the voice is not possible for any tool.
Audio is extracted from the video’s own track, so it inherits that encoding. Instagram’s audio is typically AAC at around 128 kbps. Converting to MP3 cannot add detail that was never in the source — treat this as a faithful copy, not a remaster.
Extracting a track for personal listening is straightforward. Republishing it — as a Reel soundtrack, in a video, or anywhere public — is a licensing question, and the rights usually sit with the music owner rather than the person who posted the Reel. Instagram’s licences cover use inside Instagram, not outside it.
